A solution built with Radiem® is quick to implement and extremely reliable and secure. Radiem software is installed on your devices and a central server. Because the client and server software communicate as soon as they are installed, many typical setup steps are eliminated. This communication between client and server also enables secure transmission of information and unmatched reliability.
Radiem Client Software -
The Radiem client is designed with the flexibility to be easily configured to monitor and/or control nearly any remote device in any location. Its open architecture leverages industry-standard communications protocols so it can easily adapt to a wide variety of remote equipment and the most challenging environments. The Radiem client:
Collects data from your device
Encrypts and compresses device data
Sends data securely and reliably using any communications method
Stores and resends data until it is correctly placed in the central database
Upgrades itself
Radiem Server Software -
The Radiem Server software resides on a Microsoft Windows server. The SQL database can be on the same or different Windows server or on a Unix or Linux server. For maximum security, both the Radiem and database servers sit behind a firewall. Radiem technology:
Receives data from many devices at once
Maintains data security
Populates the database with device data without the assistance of a database administrator
Provides bi-directional communication with the devices
Automatically detects and integrates newly deployed devices
Communication between devices and server-
The Radiem client software retains data from each device until it receives an acknowledgment from the server that the data package was received and correctly placed in the database. If it does not receive an acknowledgment, the Radiem client continues contacting the server until the data is sent and placed in the database. This is especially useful should a wireless connection be dropped during transmission or if a mobile device is moving in and out of coverage areas.
